You can only Safely "Cross Flash" if the PCB numbers are the same.
The Only "Cross Flash" for 3790 is 3490.
Hi
I see that Garmin have recently released a Nuvi motorhome version .....
Don't know exactly what is different , only that the routes it uses are more suitable for Motorhomes , the same as Heavy goods etc.
Is it firmware or "different" maps for the routing ??
Just wondering if there is anything similar available to install on a 3790 to get the most suitable roads etc , when using in a motorhome .
regards

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
Albert Einstein.
The difference in the "Nuvi motorhome versions" e.g. dezl 560/760 compared to the automotive nuvi series is that you can set height, width, length of the vehicle. It is from the nuvi software not from the map. The maps are the same - City Navigator Europe. And from this settings the nuvi calculate the most optimal route for the vehicle. I know there are quite big homes on weels so could be useful to some. But if it is not so big a nuvi would work fine.
You can download special POIs e.g. MICHELIN green guide. Check here:

Thanks for the info ,
Motorhome is 28' long , so whilst not an american RV , it's quite large & when towing a car behind ,3 point turns and reversing are definitely a NO-NO !!
I'll have a look around the replies and see what units are suited to cross flashing with dezi 560/760 & see if I can find a cheapie somewhere !
Your welcome.
BTW you can plan an RV route over Basecamp and send it to the nuvi 3790. It is simmilar as using a dezl. Just the route you create you make it on the PC. Take a look at the software "Garmin Basecamp". It is very usefull for planing long routes. Keep in mind that nuvi 3790 is using trips not routes. One of the many garmin stupiditis. But trips have also a few advantages compared to routes...
Guys/Ladies you too much pirate garmin devices and forgot about their main usage
