    Delete the old ASR files and replace with these files 00DW3R40.SRX and 00DW3R41.ASR some you have

    Thanks for all the help rendered. However, there is a glitch now...

    Apparantely after I try and select view hidden folders, I dont have the .system folder in my Garmin 3790. The files that I saw are .fseventsd, .Spotlight-V100 and .Trashes. I do not see the .System folder as you mention. What gives?

    You most also "uncheck Hide protected operating system files" in windows exploder

    what I did is to replace gmapprom.img, the 2 ASR files (I did not delete the old ASR files, but it worked), gmap3d image file and lastly the JCV file in the .System folder...

    The old ASR files won't be any use unless you plan using the old map they are related to. They are just taking up space so better to delete them. While you are at it, delete the old JCV file. Each map update will have new ASR, JCV and 3d files. Also you should update the G2S and SQlite folder/files for 'complete' update. Again, the 'older' files can be safely deleted.

    I havent update the G2S and SQlite folder/files yet...they are in the .System folder right? I will do it tonight...
    by the way, what does the G2S and SQlite files do? Any idea?
