I followed the configuration instructions to create maps using Mobile Atlas Creator. I selected zoom level 17 to try and test it out. I then made the output dir to mobac/atlases/test/google earth. I then typed in cmd
C:\MOBAT2JNX\mobat2jnx.exe C:\MOBAC\atlases\test\Google Earth and hit enter and in just gave me a menu and no JNX output files. Am I doing something wrong? I selected the output to be OSMtracker tile storage. Help would be appreciated I'm almost there.

I finally got mobat2jnx to work. I had to put / at the end of google earth in the command and it worked perfectly.

    Hello all,

I'm a new mapc2mapc user. I have a problem with 2 jnx files : they dot not match. map 1 should be just north from map 2. Merging them with mapc2map gives a nice map (original in png/map). But when I convert them with mapc2mapc to .jnx (after wrapping them to true north), they do not match : they are a bit "turned", and mapc2mapc uses some gray pieces so the map fits in a nice rectangle.

What am I doing wrong ?

And a quick question : how can I merge say, 100 .map files in one click ?

    Thank you,

    Atis

My program does not open files with the tiff, tif extension and opens normally. Tell me how you can convert the tiff to tif. The file size of 12GB, it will not open Photoshop. Tell me, what can be done?

    Simply rename it?
    12GB ???
I am not surprised you can't open it!!! You may need to enable a LOT of scratch disk space.
Where on earth did you obtain an image of that size? It would have to be in BigTIFF format surely.
My largest EVER TIF file was about 4GB (packbit) and even that was a nightmare to manipulate.
I would not expect MAPC2MAPC to open it even with VS enabled.

    Or do you mean 12MB?

    I note the image is 350000 x 590000.
That is one BIG TIF file!
I hope you have a 64 bit operating system and a spare 16GB or two of RAM. :Animated92:

I am not even going to try. Hope you succeed.

Did you check the MD5 hash of your downloaded file to make sure it is not corrupted? - 7979d3d5fe55f6bec42af2c33218ddad

HashMyFiles should check it. It may take a while!

If you have OziExplorer and also download 8000.map. OziE may open the TIFF file but I suspect even that won't work?
Can't imagine the effort and time that went into creating the image.
