Hi all!
I'm posting this thread because i own a Garmin Oregon 450. I updated the software from 5.20 version to the latest (6.60), recently available.
I noticed one thing. When i open the "system.xml" file i saw an "RTL Trap Err" registered. I don't know what this is. What does he do to the machine? Is it a serious problem that i have to hurry about? These kind of errors does not appear in version 5.20.
Anyone cares to comment?
Best regards
Should i send the file to Garmin?

If you have problems with this firmware, for example sudden shutdowns, send a mail to Garmin support.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
I also appeal to all users of the Oregon x50, to verify if this error happens in your GPS'r. Latest version is 6.60.
I know that only one person does not have enough stregth to make Garmin paying attention this problem, but if we all send emails to them complaining about this, maybe Garmin will do something
I have a Garmin nuvi 55TV that map freezes mostly when I go out the route. The log shows some RTL Traps. I sent the unit to Garmin and they sent me a new one with same problem!! I upgraded the unit with Garmin Express but the issue still persists. Please, some ideas about solving this issue?
Probably need for Garmin to do a firmware update. As mention in Post #2 above, nuvi 1xxx had the same Runtime Liberty Trap errors with an early fw version but it was fixed in the next version.
You could try doing an NV clearance, it's a bit more comprehensive than a hard reset but i doubt it will help you. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
