    Hi guys,

I have also a cid not editable sd card. I see everyone is posting here their current cid and asking for passwords. I read the entire thread but maybe I missed why people need this. Can someone please explain and if possible, if I need it, send me the pwd for cid 035344534c31364780ac3145a1011201.

    Thank you!

    Default original CID number

I saw in the first post the following instructions :
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
The last two digits of the CID cannot be '00' as the Last Significant Bit must be '1'
The last byte ('00') should be the 7-bit CRC.
Now, the MMC64 utility is recalculating the CRC before changing the CID on the SD Card so it's working for people.

So, my question is, does anyone have the ORIGINAL CID number for RNS310 and 315 (the ones with the correct CRC in the last byte) ??

    I bought a samsung evo+ 32 from Amazon France, unfortunately, its 59b4
I tried to prog the cid and I got this message : ioctl : Invalid or Incomplete multibyte or wide character.
Is it due to the "59b4 card" ?
The Lenovo T510 is able to read the mmc.
    Thanks
I have the same error ? What i have to do ?

How is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS modified because I tried with HP Pavilion 15bc003nc and Ubuntu did not find an internal card reader. But when I used Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon, he saw my card reader. But for my inconvenience the Samsung Evo + 32gb card did not suit the CID (59B4). But I found a Kingston 32gb card that wrote me mmc0: 0001 / block / mmcblk0 as well as a Transcedent 32gb card, but I could not change the CID. Is it necessary to use only the Samsung Evo + card? Thank and sorry my English.
