    I will be surprised if such vintage device could still have working battery. If the battery is completely worn than with every boot cycle device goes to it's default state which also resets date and time.

    No , Can not be turned on.
    You are right. may be the battery is not holding any power at all.
    Doesn't matter, I will adjust the time each time,
    but the unit is working fine with primo
