So mine problem is fixed so far. Apparently it was a burning problem.
I wrote using Windows, done verification and maps worked, but can't select address. I took DVD+R DL out of the car, made image and compared byte-to-byte to the original - identical.

Burnt second same disk from the same image using ImgBurn at 4x - works. Afraid to take disk out of the car

    Fixed now!

V20 C1 worked ..yay. Only 2 years out of date .
    In my 2012/11 IS350

Remove panel to show hidden 2nd DVD drive

Burnt DVD onto DL DVD+R (8Gb)
Right click ISO file, burn with windows burn. software.

    Removed panel, switched on acc.
Press Info/Tel button on side of console.
    Eject DVD.
    Inserted new, wait...

    Up came V20.
Cant get the V21 download yet.
V23 is on the market atm too.

    Edit: Gee.. I miss igo/Primo

G'day BattleDon, welcome to GPS Power.

Another grey import with GPS menu language and software for JN? If so, start reading from about Post #99. You need to change the location and software for it to recognise NZ mapping.

I've followed but I do not know what I am doing wrong.

So I downloaded the file , removed the POI files for AUS and I burnt it onto a vertabrim dvd-R on 4x speed using imgburner.
I insert it into my cd player and the 'please insert correct map disc' message stays there.

Ive tried to disconnect the battery for 30 mins but still no luck. I cannot access the secret menu either.

Do you know what im doing wrong?

Are you sure it should go in the infotainment unit's CD slot? There's likely a dedicated slot for the map disc, perhaps your screen tilts or there's a removable panel, similar to the one for the Lexus in Post #213. Is your Mark X a 1st gen model?

Can you post a good resolution photo of it? Maybe someone will recognise it as similar to other Denso head units or one of the other Kiwis who have a Mark X will fill in the gaps.
