I can't see the device as removable drive. Neither on win 10 or win 7. Device is tomtom start 52.
Also tried using some TTactivator but no luck. What tool should I use to put maps on this thing. Nav systems are new to me so sorry if the answer is obvious here.

Thank you,I already went through that post of yours before asking but then I found something on some German forum about a guy talking about something with memory cards but my German is bad so I wasn't really sure. Thought there might be a way nowadays.

Also an extra question. Locally , I see a lot of TT SDcards being sold with maps already on them. Safe to assume those are just patched ones for model versions that accept all those patchers that are around here?

TomTom SD cards are for car HU devices, have nothing to do with standalone devices.

Also, stick to relevant topics, this is not the place to discuss this.
Before asking a question, know it's already discussed here and at 99.9% is not unique. Use search.

Many questions become very arduous, a lot of time chewed deja vu...Since we have lost all the year of work and effort, many people have no will to answer the same questions again. Me neither. Use a search, please.

Alternatively they may be very old genuine TT SD cards with very old maps installed on them (and you'd still need an activation code which came on a credit card sized plastic card or even possibly an SD card with a new map loaded on it and one of our crackers. Either way, don't bother as virtually all maps for the older (TTHome operated) devices are available for free to download from sites that are still getting away with posting links, see here:- [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] BUT that still doesn't get you new maps for the NAV3 (MyDrive) connected devices
