Default navcore to use the TOMTOM Micro USB RDS-TMC cable on a go530

    hi
i have a tomtom go530 with a broken connector for the TMC cable i was wondering if the is a way i can get the TOMTOM Micro USB RDS-TMC cable to work to give me traffic updates. also i`m guessing as tomtom no longer support navcore updates will version 10 maps still work or will i need a new navcore then anyway. i don`t have access to the cable and don`t want to buy one if its not going to work.

You can use a TT-micro-USB-TMC-cable only with Adaptor to mini-USB (the x20/x30 have mini-USB!). Better ist a Mini-USB-TMC-cable like the 4UUC1B (4UUC.01.2B), if you can get it. Works with the distributed original and patched NC9.510 by TomTom for the Gox30 (but not in a x40 or other emulations!) and also with the untouched Truck-NC 9.702.
Maps and NC: Nobody knows what come in the future from TomTom. At the moment absolutely suitable devices (like some ONE and Go with low intern memory, but card-slot) are excluded from map updates. They want to bring their encrypted crap at any cost to the buyers.

Not a good place for any statements, the next forum crash or new rules are coming soon
