I think this question will be more actual next months, than we all thinked before some time. Tomtom did & will do slowly stop support latest maps for first generation Navocre 10 devices VIA & One, even if they have lifetime. And its predictable that next year will come same step for next generation. So we all must hope that someone will find a way, how to simulate LAN port and break the communication :-)

It's all very old and slow hardware inside the boxes. In my opinion modern style smartfone's are much better for navigation. See the Android devision on the forum!

Hello everyone!
I bought a used Tomtom GO Basic 5 inch device with a lifetime upgrade but the seller is approx. took it a year ago and did not register it within three months. I tried to update but only offered software and a speed camera, not a map. It can also only be via wifi. MyDrive Connect recognizes but also writes that it needs wifi. I would buy the fresh map but I don't know because there is no such option in the menu!
Is it possible to start something with this, or will this map v1005 stay on it forever?
Thanks in advance!
