Well, non working links are still to be reported by PM to the uploader...
My very first post for here, (sorry about my english skills) Maybe IŽll try first and shortly tell what I did. I have TomTom GO 300 (:D dont have to be afraid somebody gonna steal it if I forget it to my car), I made copy of original SD card and used for a years that backup card. I succesfully updated scandinavian maps about every year, but now when I installed TomTom Home 2, and it made some upgrade for it, Im not able to get new maps to work :(. Go 300 donŽt even recognize any copies of original card with no changes at all.. so, wondering, should I force some update for the program itself? or replace it with some of these? sorry about being so "outdated" novadays.. :/ if someone can give me hint how to get started? (map I tried update with new mapdata for card, and meta.txt with correct line in, and with fastactivate.exe ... it told some .dtc (?) file is ok!)
Thx already!

1. Use your backup copy card
ORQuote:
If TomTom home update your navcore you need patch it again, use latest latest FastActivate and patch navcore.
if it not help you may need cleanflash tool also
Code:http://www.tomtom.com/updates/clear_flash/clear_flash.exe
2. use your backup copy card
Quote:
- Delete all files from it
- make clean update with tomtom HOME (update several times then you got latest version)
- copy latest FastActivate to root directory and patch map and navcore
- if you cant delete all files from card maybe some files is corrupted... then just format it
finaly use cleanflash if not works
Code:http://www.tomtom.com/updates/clear_flash/clear_flash.exe
EDIT: If bad luck you GO 300 card reader is broken
Used method 2. .. also when i tried with another 512mb card i found, it worked much more co-operative, so something fault with "original backup card" is possible. also with another map version and using navcore that tomtom updated to 7.9(.??) this whole thing goed like charm. new card with no files, letting tomtom put the stuff it want, and made the magic with fastactivation.exe. Maybe this whole problem was faulty sd-card + maybe unproper map pack for navcore (?). Anyway, now it works, Thanks a lot P33dro for the tips!!! :)
Yes old devices read smal card better anywayQuote:

Do you try format other card ?
just format them and and make copy from 512 card to bigger one if needed
good job :)
We just had similar problems in another forum.
User tried for days on end only to find out his SD was faulty.
Also a lot of the 2 and 4GB noname cards are of very poor quality, resulting in a device that seems to work fine on the PC but fails everywhere else.
If you updated your 300 through Home you still have a very old Navcore running and most likely a bootload below 5.5012.
This might prevent you from using 4GB and SDHC SD cards.
For a 300 I recommend the 5.5112 bootloader.
If you want to have a full featured Navcore that can use the maps with ALG and IQ routes you can check my thread for the 9.485.
The version with memoryboost will work fine on your device.
