    Default What maps to use with my TomTom (can't install 955)?

    Hello,

    So I have downloaded Central and Eastern Europe 995 8507 maps but I can't put them in to my TomTom. What I do is:

    Open FastActivate (latest, updated)
    Update meta.txt
    Patch NAVCORE
    and then I try to Patch MAPS

    but I get error like one below:

    Voice(s):
    data80.chk => .dct OK
    Complete Map(s):
    Incomplete Map(s):
    Central_and_Eastern_Europe-101256.meta => .dct ERROR
    Fuel prices:
    Speed cameras:

    There is NO meta available for that map but there is a meta for the Central and Eastern Europe 995 8510 so you could try that, or use ANY other map we DO have a meta for (or alternatively, buy the map then create & share the mweta with us?)

    Yea, I just found the solution on my own... It's hard to start a new thing, when you dont know anything about it lol... but seems like I'm getting in use with it just one more question: why would I download NAVCORE (from this forum) and what is it? Is it something like operating system for my gps?

    Navcore is indeed another name for the application/operating system BUT, you with your 720 are correctly running the latest/best navcore 9510 anyway which will run any currently available map we have the meta for (apart from the truck map which is a bit special) so don't change that. see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    As this forum is no longer allowed to post map links you could search/google for them or go directly to what many of us reckon to be THE BEST forum for TT stuff here:-http://www.gpsurl.com/forumdisplay.php?210

    If the URL is a return from a simple google search, I believe it's valid to post it. After all, it's google responsibility for dealing with any DMCA violation from their server. Using a link that can be accessed readily from google shouldn't be the responsibility of any forum because users can just easily do it themselves. This forum is only in violation when it posted links that its member uploaded (that knowingly in violation of DMCA from a company)

    Personally I think it should be the responsibility of the upload servers to conform to the DMCA policy. But forums (including this one) has agreed to be "fair" about it to avoid long legal dispute. But preventing any links that was not created from this forum that are in violation of a DMCA is going a bit far and to be honest, unfair.

    Please note that this is my opinion and has nothing to do with the owner nor admins of this forum. If they feel that it should not be allow, then they will delete it.

    ....which would then encourage some of us to just pm those who asked with their preferred/recommended links

    PS spooky or what but did people realise that today is not only Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year 5778) but also Al Hijra (Islamic New Year 1439). God certainly does move in mysterious ways indeed!

    Agreed. PM is a pain in the butt for the recipient with the repeated mailbox storage cleaning.
    Little out of topic. You do know that Islam and Judaism stem from the same root, right? PBS dude, watch it.
    To an atheist, God doesn't move at all.
