If there's no SD card slot then your only choice is plan b) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

My TT one xl claimed internal memory only but on the bottom, in line with the connectors was a taped over sd slot.
The slot worked but only with the older SD cards.
    Changed bootloader
    updated navcore
    updated maps to 965
now have 4 Gig SDHC card working with full area map and if I pull the SD card i go back to the original stuff.
maiden voyage around town. GPS told me to go right, then left on parallel road then left and right back on the same major road I was on within a mile.

I can only think it may be a very cheap or slow class SDHC card? We normally recommend a minimum Class 4 or ideally Class 6 or above.
Does it play up on the internal memory map or just on this SDHC card?

And there is always a possibility that the memory slot was added via a hacked and it was bad (that's why it was taped over)

guess I hit the wrong response button and didn't post yesterday. sorry if this is a duplicate
card was a 4 GB U SDHC class 4 by sandisk known good. Don't think the the speed is that critical due to the age of the TT one XL. Slot was for older SD card. Did try second U SD adapter as I have found bad ones.
Yes the program works both with the card in (new) and internal memory (old) I read on this forum (somewhere) that this is a trait with the XL and not all. Some loose the internal program
SD card slot and covering sticker was by the manufacturer and not a hack remodel. The sticker said something like "internal memory only"
I suspect the bad directions were due to routing algorithm or a settings preference problem. Had that happen on smartphone OSM navigator. A frontage road was preferred over the highway.
what I was able to do was update the memory type and size, core program, and map. What I got was a dedicated GPS display that may be slower processor but is better sunlight readable.
