    Yes you can as it's just a extra-widescreen version of the XL. Have a read/search around here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for the basics.

    thanks, already installed uk ireland 960-7077 and ran fast active but keep getting .dtc error ,
    and dont see any .dtc file in map folder,

    new to this tomtom installs so i suppose im doing something wrong,

    Yup, you're trying to activate a map we don't have a meta for.
    see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    However, if you can get your head around this post you can still use that 960-7077 map (subject to it being compatible with your navcore) [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    PS Really you should be using the fully loaded 960_7056 map [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] intended for your device/navcore which we DO have the meta for. I reckon you're thinking the 7077 is "newer" cos it's a higher number but that's not correct.
    ALL 960 maps are current and just vary in extras like IQ Routes/ASR etc and navcore compatablity

    thanks for that, yes i did think the 7077 was newer, i now have 7056 running perfect, thank again biggerdave, a gent for explaining

    TomTom XXl has a limited 2 gb internal memory. So not full europe possible.
