Only when you have the official TomTom app, you are able to connect to the server. For people like us, updating from the TomTom server is not possible.

    Speedcams: download/make your own file.
    Quickfix: not availeble for Android
Mapshare: :Who needs them. A new map every 3 month is more than enough.

If you use the original TomTom speedcams, you can't use them on your Android device. I made my own .ov2 file from an iGO speedcam file using PoiEdit.

How often an update? That's up to you. I have a GO950 for proffesional use and Android just for fun, so I don't update TomTom Android speedcams often.
