    Default Just a quickie!

    I got tomtom (TM) xl which is stuck on main screen with a white cross, the start up mode is sleep, bootloader ver iss5.5136, checksum is D493,nand ver is0036 Samsung, has anyone got any idea on how to get it back working again. I have tried using tomtom home and updating but made no difference.

    There is no pin hole on this 1gb model (4eg0.001.13) but have tried the rest, via the power button but the only thing it changes is the start up mode to power down, will keep trying with what you have suggested, thanks for taking time out to reply.

    How about, from off, connect via USB to your pc THEN switch on and maybe you can at least see the internal memory & maybe get the chance to run clearflash.exe three times?

    Yes I can see internal memory and have tried checking for errors but did not find any, but clearflash wont work on my win 7.

    I have tried update my device many times but made no difference and it will not install clearflash no matter I try, it say installation files are missing.

    Hi canford,

    A couple questions about your broken TT.

    Have you ever seen it boot properly?
    Is there a map installed on the TT?
    Is the software stock from TomTom or custom?

    First thing to do is make a complete back up of the TT to your computer hard drive using Windows Explorer.
