help What am I doing wrong?

I have wiped and installed lots of TomTom One's and various Go's. My own go 910 however is giving me grief.
I had NC 9.485 installed and working for ages on this. I recently got NC 9.510 and installed this but had issues with the voices so have tried reverting back but now I am stuck on the splash screen. I have formatted the device under Windows as FAT32, tried 9.510 with no luck (just hangs at splash screen), tried 9.485 and again just hangs at the splash screen.
Its been a while since I did a full format and reinstall but I don't remember any issues like this previously? What am I doing wrong?

Default Wife is going to kill me.....

OK. So I hold my hands up here and admit I am stupid but I really need to fix this quickly...
I have wiped it again and let TomTom home do its work and its reinstalled the official NavCore for Go 910. This boots and seems to work although the map isn't supported. I have tried again installing NC 9.510 but I am stuck at the splash screen.

I have tried the automatic Navcore installer which all seems to go ok but hangs at splash screen on boot. I have tried tried the 9.485 automatic installer (same). I have wiped and installed the files manually using an official .cab file from TomTom (same). I have formatted the device under Windows as Fat32 and reinstalled everything but always it hangs at the splash screen.

Please what am I doing wrong?

Managed to find a 9.205.547817 backup I had and restored this and its now working again (thankfully - divorce prevented....).
Any idea as to what I am doing wrong? I want to get SE NavCore 9.510 installed or at least get 9.485 reinstalled but there is something I am missing I think?

    Must be my mistake then...
The X10's are not always easy to handle with new Navcores.
If you trry the 9.510 from my installer you can test the normal version for GO models.
If you have a CF card instead of the HDD you can try the X10 version, same if the normal GO version does not boot.

I tried the Universal NC installer and have tried both '9.510 for GO models (64mb Ram)' as well as the '9.510 for X10 devices' and both result in the same behaviour - could I have a corrupt download? The files on the GO 910's hard drive all look OK but I haven't been through them with a fine tooth comb..

Surely a GO 910 should use the '9.510 for GO models (64mb Ram)?

    Cheers

That would be the default for the X10 series unless a CF card is used.
Might be wrong but is it possible that your bootloader is below 5.5112?
I noticed that on some device the never V9 Navcores won't work properly with very old bootloaders.
If your booloader is still the original 4.86 than I suggest to update it.

But since you already have the installer at hand, try the GO version again,
but before you start yout TT edit the file "reskin" in the folder "skins"
    the entries are seperated by a " ; " ,
your reskin file should look like this:
    25-GO x30;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20;24-GO x40
    Replace with this
    24-GO x40;24-GO x40;25-GO x30;37-GO x50;37-GO x50;18-GO x20
Now you TT should start in X40 emulation.

If still no luck see if the Memory Boost version for the 32mb models starts on your TT.

I was on 5.5242 however the official update via TomTom Home updated this to a later version. I downgraded it with the 0.0001 version and put 5.5242 not long after in case this was an issue.
I will wipe and try 9.510 again following your instructions with the reskin files and see how I get on....

    Cheers
