Default Battery on tom tom 920

I can "operate" my TT 920 through TT Home on computer i.e. see map loading , set home address, see it charging etc.
However when it comes off cradle the TT won't load up
Is this a battery issue or is something else wrong ?
I have not used the TT for a couple of months

    Any help appreciated

    paul

It maybe possible you have a battery failure.
But will it restore to a previous time before you updated it?
Or if you didn't update it is it really fully charged
"if it isn't you would have to possibly do a reboot of something then do a restore maybe" I don't have this unit but maybe till someone comes along with this unit ya could post a few more ideas huh."

A faulty or old battery can cause many problems.
I suggest you charge the TT for at least 6 hours.
If it still won't work without the cradle you have two options for the failure:
    a) the battery is dead - a replacement will fix that
    b) the "fuse" for the battery is faulty - this will cause the device to work as normal on external power but no charge will go to the battery for charging
