Yes it is free. For sure. I'm using the paid version and have also the free version installed. As a backup in case when the TomTom Go won't work. I even can install maps for offline navigation. Not the same day but the next day after installation. But maybe because I have also a paid TomTom Go installed. Try it yourself and you will see.
It no longer says TomTom Amigo. TomTom - Maps & Traffic. It works very well.
Still no synchro with account
I would like to give this a try as I don't like Sygic or Here WeGo but with no offline maps it's a deal breaker for me, I will probably revert back to a used standard TomTom unit with traffic and speed cams included even though it's taking a chance on how long it will last. They are available cheap enough on ebay and gumtree etc.
No account needed for this free version. Just install and go.
I want to use my acoount to synchronize favorites
We have already discussed and I said that I will clean the topic
There was no need to repeat yourself
Hi everyone,
The latest TomTom Maps beta includes offline map support. That's a big step forward for navigation without connectivity.
You can leave feedback (on Google store) for the developers. I took the opportunity to request a favorites sync feature - always handy to have your saved locations synced across devices.
Has anyone else tried this beta? Any other noteworthy changes or issues to report?
Cheers.
