While playing route preview, how can I accelerate the speed? Thanks. The default route preview speed is almost the same as real driving speed.

If I have a trip plan of 150 km, should I just watch the preview for about 1 hour?

It is just like playing solitary on your smartphone. It give you something to do while dealing with covid 19.
There are lots of things that are not needed on GPS apps but they are there.......
So sit back and watch your 2 hour drive in demo mode......
Then have a nice cup of coffee and go out and take a long walk say 2 hours and when you come back the demo drive will be over with.
And you have reached your destination.....
No one is stopping you......

Just installed v.1.9.5.1. on an Android 9 phone. App working but it never created a home screen shortcut to launch the app. How do I manually create one for TomTom NDS app?

Shortcuts are not created on HomeScreen (almost never on new devices). We don't know which phone you have so we can give you a specific procedure
Use google :smile:
It is usually enough to touch the icon and hold for a few seconds
And this is not a problem with navigation, but with the use of the phone

I worked it out. All I needed to do was to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal all the installed apps. From there I was able to create the needed shortcut. By default Android 9 doesn't install any menu shortcuts to maintain a clean uncluttered look.

Thanks for the latest v.1.9.6.1.

Go to the App Manager and deactivate the app
Then activate it again
Perhaps it helps as a temporary solution
