    @ Steve Zodiac,

This app was not made for head units.

Spoiler: Info on this app link

You are lucky to even get it to work OK.

It was made you the South American market to link up with some Toyota Car radio's but not installed on them.
It is to mirror link to them.

It has not been released for the European market yet.

Apart from Google Maps, NDS v 1.3.3 is the only sat-nav app that will work on my PX5.

I've tried TomTom Go - no roads shown in 3D driving mode.

Sygic - the car on the map display jumps about from one road to another, reversing direction at times.

CoPilot - works to some extent, but the image is dark.

Can someone help me solve this? Thank you.
Do you have it on the phone or tablet or head unit?

Did you give permission to use internet connection?

Sometimes apps does not ask and you have to do it manually in the apps permission settings.

Always worked for me with every version. tested on phone and head unit and tablet.

    Regards

Hi, thanks for answering @rusigor. If you install 1.3.4 first but in the installation of the maps the app was closed. From what I have read is a problem of some android car radios. That is why I had 1.3.3 installed. The traffic option had worked well for me until Sunday, so I don't know what happened. Greetings.

Hello, thanks for answering @asprin624, the traffic failure was during most of the trip. I tried Waze and google maps and if it worked. Version 1.3.4 when I installed the maps closed, so I installed version 1.3.3. I have not driven again to try it again. When I do I will say it here.

Thanks for answering @JhonnyB, I have it installed in a car radio. If you have all the permissions, I have used it before without problems, it was only that day when it failed. I didn't know if it could be the app's failure for some reason or server failure or something else.

    Hi guys
It used to work and after a while, this error at startup occurs : "unknown error that prevents to startup" "..go to forums ..."
I tried all I know: deleted cache, uninstalled, rebooted but still the same error again, even with older NDS versions
    What's going on ?

Update : after many tries it's fine now I only magisk hide it or maybe the TomTom servers were buggy yesterday ... Weird...

    A.
In the Bluetooth settings (on your phone), you have to swith off/ deselect "media" while you have phone and BT headset/ carradio connected. After that TomTom will use phone speaker instead of BT speaker (from headset or caraudio) and you'll have sound.

Worked for me and might be the same problem others have

    @dennismoore,

I have no other problems with other app's.

The phone gives me all the messages.
The watch show every message I get or reminders.

It is only with the Tomtom app the voice has a problem.
I have tried every setting and none will work.

Using a second test phone is no big problem for me.

I only use the app for short trips.

As for long trips I have a standalone GPS unit that has never failed me with a 7in. screen.
Full animated split screen to show what exit to take. Plus Lifetime traffic and speed cams.
All for one price and works out of the box first time.

GPS app's great but to many problems, to many updates.
    Everything is an extra.

And they always have some hiccup that causes problems.
We will have to see when 5G comes into being how well these apps work.
But that means new phones to have 5G.

That means more costs for a new phone and gps app's having more problems

my GPS unit is 3 years old and is still going strong.

Your problem must be on the device.
I use a Xiaomi Mi 7 paired via Bluetooth to Mi Band 3.
Everything works as it should, including the voice output of TomTom NDS.
I chose the alarm channel for the sound.
