You can test by downloading one of the South American maps and see if they are newer.
From the Google Store:
**Data storage constraints may apply and an SD card may be required.
Download 4 or more full updates of any installed map per year.
You need a wireless internet connection to download new maps and updates.
So you will have to wait a couple of months for updates........

Just installed this version from post #1 on Android car HU Oreo/PX5 stock ROM. After selecting recorded sound (Ervin/HUN) it starts speaking and speaking infinite. You have reached your destination, turn left, turn right, etc until I switch back to TTS.
Any idea what could cause the issue?

You are lucky to get it to work on a 3rd party Head Unit.
Just stick with the computer voices......
In the TomTomLab menu I was able to switch to the platform TTS, which voice is far better than the TomTom one at least in Hungarian. Sounds more natural not so robotic voice. [emoji3]
So no need of recorded voice.

Good news, there are new road maps.
But first you have to delete the old ones. Update is not displayed. After the update, "up to date" will be displayed again
[emoji106] and the POI database is updated as well (that one was really outdated, for a second I thought I was using Here, with its 5 year old database [emoji41] )
Before we start deleting maps!!!!!!!
I just did a test and there are no new maps yet.

User's need to be patient new maps will come but not every 30 days........

Just downloaded Belgium.
See same version numbers, but 244 Mb instead of 220 Mb.
Also marks up to date in maps list.

Same here; new country map is 259 Mb, before 240 Mb. More importantly the map now displays changes in roads in my area (that's an easy check for me).
I agree this "deleting and downloading" isn't how it should be, but it is a workaround that does work.
Regarding the frequenty of updates: not daily or weekly for sure, but certainly in the past every month at least.
I can confirm - after deleting maps cca 281 MB and downloading new maps of the same region, new maps are cca 293 MB.
But Map version is the same - 15464.
