Thanx Dfox ! Installed over 1.17 , no problems at all.
Downloaded extra maps, no problem.
Don't see any difference with previous version, on Google Play is mentioned only some bug fixes.

I have to reinstall several times. There were problems with server connection. Last install of the patched version installed without wifi connection, and after restart with wifi I could download the maps.
I followed this steps STRICTLY!
and it worked out perfect
1. Install original TomTom Go app via Play Store
2. Start the app, skip Wizard and go to the map download, but do not download maps. Important: do not close app!
3. Copy the folder /storage/emulated/0/android/obb/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp somewhere (for example, to the PC or any other folder on the smartphone)
4. Close and uninstall the original TomTom app
5. Install patched version v1.17 and do not start
6. Copy the folder copied under 3.) back to /storage/emulated/0/android/obb/com.tomtom.gplay.navapp
7. Start patched version v1.17 and perform map downloads
all maps downloads over wifi

Is it allowed again to post patched TomTom Go versions here ?
I tought TomTom said it was not legal ?
Personally, I don't feel patcher/cracker are illegal because they are NOT made by vendor. That includes keys and serials. Only original materials made from and copyrighted by vendors such as Garmin and TomTom are not allowed because of DMCA. Companies such as Garmin and TomTom are strong arming everyone into doing it but it's silly to think just because you bought a "car" you can't work on YOUR "car."

Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.
