You need to activate the map about the DeviceUniqueID of your used APK (Multi-Map: AABH8AACSW or UK & Ireland : AK6ZS8JHQW) and the meta.txt with map-code of United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_965_7250.
You need a activation-tool, which allow you make the input of the DeviceUniqueID by hand. I think, FA is not the right program for this. Use easyusetool_frontend_0520 or the tool of DFox.

Please make no unfounded full-quotings. Don't be a parrot! Or do you repeat every answer of your conversation partner in real life? Please use the button "Reply" for a direct answer. He was made for it.
Thanks for the pointer.
I actually used the following guide to patching. I used Fast activate to patch the map on my PC and then copied the patched map file to the Android phone as suggested. It worked really well and deserves to be more prominent as an excellent tutorial.

Actually I find, and have previously found, the search facility on this site pretty useless. I actually found it from an external Google search that directed me back.:-) If you include Tomtom Android you get a million and one hits and Boolean (AND NAND) searches just don't seem to work.
A further query...
In its standard form Tomtom Android doesn't accept more than the first four characters of a UK postcode. Can the Zip files for Holland and UK be incorporated for use by the app and where should they put in the file structure and is any activation, or pre-activation on the PC, necessary to get them functional?
