Default Is there a fix for the "date error" of the tomtom go?

    3rd time in 6 weeks!
    it happened again.
    i have 1.8.1

how can i fix the "you are living in the past" error, without downloading again all the maps?

in my case after almost 2 weeks i get this error!
the time/date option of the phone was "automatic".

maybe i can jut delete a file somewhere and fix everything (who knows)

Try to config it manually with the good time zone, it worked for some guys.

If you want to reinstall it on the same phone backup the 2 folders com.tomtom.gplay.navapp (sd intern and extern), uninstall, clean, install, launch and when the software ask to download a map close it and restore the 2 folders.

I think that the fault is with Tomtom's app not the patched version, I have done a clean install of the app from Google play and it does the wrong date error and Tomtom themselves have admitted that there is a problem with the app in certain situations and are working to fix it. Some people may be lucky in their choice of phone but others have this problem. I have manually set the date to a year ahead and it still throws up this error so I don't think it is anything to do with not having the date set correctly or whether it is on manual or automatic time setting it's just a matter of waiting for TT to fix the app. I will be contacting Tomtom with the make of my phone to see what they have to say and when a fix is likely.

    found a solution.
set date to 01/01/2020 and format the sd card
then copy the tomtom go files there.

at the moment i have no more "you are living in the past error"

when the error occurred the date of "format" of the sd card was 01/01/1970
