Discussion about Sygic editions modified by MrDude

Thanks asprin624 for your time! Yes, I do always a new clean install. I'll try some of your suggestions, for example downloading only the German region where I live, cause I did always together with Austria, cause I need it together for the ride.
Also, I've bought the Lifetime Europa + Traffic Licence a year ago and with the original app from the Google Play Store 3 days ago was the same. Still I wanted the MOD version cause of Add-ons. I could always go back to my licence but testing the Mods is simply beautiful.
Once again THANKS and I'll take now some time with your ideas.

Oh one more question; do you know how Sygic loads the Traffic range, I mean... Tomtom Go loads Traffic in a range of about 150km I think.
I live in Germany and Sygic loads Traffic eve in Vienna... that's over 350km away from me.

In regards to traffic range:

More then 50 KM of traffic is all one needs.
Now if you are going to travel 350km plus KM having what the traffic is now in Vienna at the time you start out it will not be the same in most cases by the time you get any where near the city.

Most GPS apps or stand alone units have traffic and will recalculate as you go alone your route.

I have traveled to North Germany many times and depending when I leave there is always some traffic along the route that you get stuck in or a car crash that has not reached my GPS info yet.

I get info of problems along the route and never run into any problems.

Because a lot of info is user input and the delay that comes with that info.

I give traffic a 50% of good info.
Some of the info they give you is a waste of time to take a different route to save some time.
That does not work in most cases because everyone else is doing the same thing and you wind up sitting in more traffic.
It is better to just stay right where you are and it could be faster then rerouting based on traffic info.

This is 60 years of driving both in the USA and Europe.

You are closing down the app and restarting it.
This has nothing to do with the guys at Sygic it is what you are doing to the app.
If you want to restart the app for what ever reason CANCEL the route first.
Then when you start the app again it will not ask you to do something.

Then just start the route over again.
I can not see why as you are drive to stop the app.

You are not telling everything you are doing any why......

Plus I have looked back at your older posts in regards to Sygic and you seem to have problems with both Sygic and the Sygic Truck app.

If you are not happy with any of the versions here then Buy it from Sygic and they can then deal with it over their help line.

The things are simple. I am talking about an option offered by Sygic itself that does not work, for me at least. If you personally donot need that option - fine, be happy.

But imagine that you have to drive from Bruges to Barcelona and you have to pass through 7 places for some special reasons/needs. So, you have set these 7 places as 7 additional points in your route. But the night come and you have to sleep in a hotel in Toulouse. Is it normally to exit Sygic in a hotel and go to sleep? Yes, it is. But, surprise! - in the morning you find out that your route disappeared and you donot have with you addresses and other data of those 7 places!! Disaster?? Not for you - you donot need to drive from Bruges to Barcelona.....

Well maybe if you do it correctly it will work.

I tested this with 2 different routes which I saved by Sygic instructions.

Closed Sygic and restarted it and told it to continue and it work with no lost of route.

Tapped on the Heart picked Routes tapped on the route I have saved and it recalculated the route and ready to go.

So I do not know why you lose your route if you saved it.

It works.........

PS:

I also canceled the route after restarting Sygic and that worked too.......
Check and the route was still there if I wanted to use it again.

I am not talking about saving a route. It is clear.

I am talking about fake option (in my Sygic, at least) "CANCEL ROUTE (OR) CONTINUE" that appears after Sygic restarting. It leads to a wrong conclusion that previous route is AUTOMATICALLY saved and that it can be continued automatically - as it was in previous versions of Sygic.

So please tell clearly - how is in your Sygic (18.7.7, or whatever) when you set the route and exit, and restart Sygic again. Are you asked "CANCEL ROUTE (OR) CONTINUE"? And what happens when you choose/tap "CONTINUE"? Have you still previous route? Is it OK?

Contact Sygic and tell them your problem - it's not mod/patch related.

Hello guys and sorry for my stupid question , i installed the lastest Sygic Navigator 18.7.7 and i have an Xiaomi 9T PRO with SD 855 ( medium-high range phone ) and seems to have some lag when i put a route , but my question is ... Which version in your opinion is the most stable , i mean , since from 18.4.x until 18.7.x . Thanks and advance !

As far as I tested, there is not much difference in essence
For the lag that exists on such a device, you can only blame Xiaomi's UI and services :smile:

But yesterday I checked with a friend who has paid versions, on two phones. The original versions recognize the map without any problems.
We also tested several older versions published here. None of them "see" the mentioned map.

What I've noticed is that people only generally post if there is an issue, the lack of posts make me assume that nobody is having any problems with the mods as they are pretty easy to install. If you look at most of the posts - only when someone say's xxx isn't working is when the thread is most active. It's the same on every forum to be honest.
