Well with all do respect I have been testing Sygic apps for years.

Have been a Beta tester on in off for most of those years.

I own a paid versions of the these apps.

One thing I do is to stick to the format that the app has been setup to run the most effectively.

Have never run into any of these problems that user's run into and post here.

Yes from time to time the app has it's little hiccups.

But most user's think every version that is posted here is a Final version.

They even try to install these versions on Head Units and do not understand the problems you can run into.

I only use the Final version when I drive.

Only test the beta versions to see what improvements are coming or will not be in the final version.

As for which maps are the best you would have to run 2 smartphones at the same time to see which maps are the best.

That would mean you would have to travel all the time with both smartphones run and then note which map at any given time was better.

Yes you will fine that one map type will take you down this road or that road.

Then add the traffic function to these 2 smartphones and you will get differences there too depending what time of day you are driving or where you are starting from.

So anyone saying that Here maps are Better than TomTom maps or TomTom maps are better than Here maps one would have to show concert information of what maps are better and not just this street is wrong or that street is wrong.

I also own TomTom Stand alone units along with Garmin units.

They have always gotten me from Point A to Point B with no problems at all and I drive all over Europe on a regular bases.

Everything you've written is OK and I agree with everything and I have the original version of the purchased version but in my village TT folders are still weak there are no streets and let alone the numbers and so I use Here folder because they have been there for years and can hardly wait to it and TT device folders and then just use the original and remove the TT navigation folders and solve the problem and this is how we chemise and torture ourselves.

But all this info has been there all along.

The problem is user's never take the time to send in corrections, only point out it in forums like this one of mistakes.

You must get involved with Sygic in order to get corrections and your input updated........

That is the only way to make Sygic app's better and better.......

PS:

I quote Sygic:

"(the offline maps which Sygic uses are created from data which comes either from TomTom or OSM)".

This info can be found on their website if user's take the time to read the info that is out there.

Yes, type in address bar Country-City-Street + number. Or try removing FTS file in Country-map in use folder.

i tried this but there seems to be a problem. i downloaded my country from the map downloader and deleted all the fts files. next i followed the steps but once i lunch the app, it is showing looking for country and asking me to download even though i already did this and it is on my phone

Don't delete FTS file, use the first metod:"type in address bar Country-City-Street + number", it work.

I have tested this on 3 phones.

Installed new on each one.

Used the Downloader and put 2018.12 maps on the phone.

Installed the patched app.

When I started the app on each phone it first check for the country I live in.

It download that map.

Now if you look into the map folder you will see:

Example:

2018.12 Belgium map that I got from the Downloader.
And
2018.09 Belgium map that the app downloaded.

All other 2018.12 maps stayed and did not add 2018.09 maps of those countries.

All 3 phones work with no problems at all went I restarted app.

So it is normal for the app to check on the country you live in and add that map being 2018.09

So what is happing is that the 2018.12 have not been officially released yet. (Maybe in some countries they have)

But the app will work with no problems with one 2018.09 map and the rest with 2018.12 maps

PS:

As for searching for an address I only try in the name of the street and as I am typing it starts to give me a list of streets.

Them more details I type the field of possibilities gets smaller.

I then see the address I am looking for for that country.

Have never had to put all the other info in.

I´ve a problem with this version installed on my android car device.

I do a clean install, connect to internet via phone hotspot and add maps downloaded with Mapdownloader. After that, everything works perfectly, voices, sounds, alerts, even traffic.

As I usually use the app without an internet connection, the following time I start the app (without intenet connection), I have no sound or voices, or alerts or of course traffic.

I think the app modifies some file and it does not work correctly.

The same thing happens to me with other versions, even with the original in which I have premium license.

Any idea how to fix it?. I do not want to be connected to internet every time I use the app.

Where does it say it will work on a android car radio??????

This app was made for smartphones and tablets.

You will not find any info in regards to it working on a Android Car Radio......
