From 17.4.6 to 17.4.9 you don't need to do a clean install. It upgrades well.

Well thank you for that wonderful bit of insight, but no it did not. At least not for me. If it did for you, then that's great. Why not post some specs or more info so the rest of us can see what's going on. Rather than just posting a random comment as if you're trying to start an argument.

    Tool

All you have to do for upgrading Sygic to new version is to copy new folder com.sygic.aura to your telephone, to the same folder where you have it now. It will upgrade files with new ones.
Then you copy apk to telephone, install it (you will see a warning about you are upgrading app) and that's all.
I can't remember when I did the last clean install.

I hope this specs are enough info for you and can help you.

Well, I'm not going to argue. But I will say that I do know what I'm doing, and it did not work for me. For whatever the reason, a clean install was required for me. I have no intentions of looking into that reason, but I have posted my information here so that if someone wants to, they can.
    I'm just sharing my experience

So Am I. Let's hope your experience and mine be helpful for more people.
May be it's a matter of Android version: I'm using Android 8.0.0. Oreo with a Sansung S7 and Sygic is installed in SD Card.
