    Hello,

    I believe the steps in the installation instruction are not in the correct order.
    It says to copy the folders from the basefolder into the SD Card first, then install the apk.
    Specifically, it says that for Android greater than v4.4 - take the Android, Maps, and Res folders from the basefolders, and manually copy them into SDCard\Sygic\

    Anyways..., after doing the install of the "patched" apk (using my Head Unit's apk installer):
    1- I clicked open like normal.
    2- Then a secondary installation process started.
    3- Then it asked me to install in internal or external memory (I chose external memory - SD Card).
    4- Then it said "Internet Access" was needed (there was no button to skip this).
    5- Once I connected to the wifi, it completed the installation.
    6- Then it asked me to register an email (I skipped this)
    7- Then it prompted me to download my local map (I download only my local US-NJ map).

    The instructions do not mention having to connect to the internet to complete the installation. Is this normal?

    I noticed the "patched" apk installs its own folder path in the SD Card (Android\data\com.sygic.aura\files\):
    Should I copy-and-replace the three folders into this Android\data\com.sygic.aura\files\ (this is what I did)?
    Or does this "patched" apk ignore this path, and instead look to the path of the three folders manually copied into SDCard\Sygic\? Is this correct?

    Please let me know which is correct so I can trouble shoot. Sygic seemed to start up with no issues, but I did not test the GPS functionality yet because my brand new Android 9.0 Head Unit just crashed shortly after installing Sygic. I think it crashed for a completely different reason outside of Sygic. I do not know because when I turned on the wifi (for the first time) my Android Head Unit started automatically updating apps and system files on its own. It might have crashed due to a corrupted update.

    Since I installed Sygic into the SD Card, I guess I can just remove the SD Card in order to trouble shoot this. But the problem is that my brand new stock, un-modified Android 9.0 Head Unit might be bricked (from an internal hardware issue - bad manufacturing). Geez..., they better send me a freaking new one since its only 1.5 weeks old since I installed it (used it for a total of about 3 hours). Crap Chinese products, no matter how nice they make their websites or package it.

    Thanks for the help so far.

    I can't get any mirrorlink apps to work on my head unit. It connects through mirrorlink but no apps show up.

    It's a Samsung A5 connecting to a 2014 Honda Civic Coupe EX. Phone is rooted running Android 6.0.1.
    Resolution is 720x1280.
    Software installed is Sygic v18-1-2 with Canada maps installed.

    I checked the compatible apps and shows Sygic is one of them that should work.

    Sygic v18-1-2 do not have Mirrorlink. Only v 18.2.0 beta for the first time, experimental.

    This will be just like Sygic Incar.

    You want it to work you have to buy the app.

    Have the correct version of Mirrorlink both in your car radio and on your smartphone.

    As for this being experimental beta it might work in most cases I do not think it will.

    Ok, I tested the trial version from play store and it works. I will test the beta version, thanks for the tip.

    EDIT: Beta doesn't work, but its named com.sygic.aura whereas the working version is com.sygic.incar.

    SygicinCar is different from Sygic GPS Navigation, that have experimental Mirrorlink for the first time in v 18.2.0 beta (not present in Play), and probably not for all devices.
    Control content.info and try adding the strings:

    [GLOBAL]
    mirrorLink=All

    Edited content.info with that setting and it's still not recognized so dunno.

    I got the app to work with mirrorlink in conjunction with LG MirrorDrive v1.2.1.2.

    @DPyro,

    I have read the reviews on this app LG MirrorDrive.

    They are not good at all.

    Plus this is no way to add GPS apps to it.

    So if you got mirrorlink in conjunction with LG MirrorDrive to work with Sygic v18.1.2.

    Then post full details as how you got it to work.

    For those user's who would like to try it.

    PS:

    The latest version of LG MirrorDrive is v1.2.2.7 but you need Android v7 or higher.

    Spoiler: LG MirrorDrive v1.2.2.7

    I just installed LG MirrorDrive and open the app you want to MirrorLink. It'll show the last open app on your phone. Needs to be a non-LG phone [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

    @DPyro,

    Read the complete postings on how to get this to work.

    I must say it is hit and miss getting it to work.

    Plus the only version to work is LG MirrorDrive v1.2.1.2.

    And it will not work on any LG phones.

    For the user's who want to try this can you supply a link to LG MirrorDrive v1.2.1.2.

    Good luck to the user's who want to try this.....
