    Default "Settings has stopped" message on Android

    Hey,

    Does anyone else have an issue when installing Sygic that the phone will periodically give the "settings has stopped" message? I've got a Samsung S9 with the latest updates and have already tried cache clearing and hard boot.

    I tried removing Sygic and should have tested longer but i believe the message went away. Reinstalled latest version v18.0.12 Final from here and the message popped back up fairly quickly.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    @qoishuck,

    Which version are we talking about here??

    v18.0.12 Final or the v18.1.2 Beta which has problems to install over older versions.

    I ave tested v18.0.12 final and it is stable.

    On another test phone I found that both v18.1.1 and v18.1.2 gave some strange routing.

    Example:

    Brussels to Domburg which is about 109 KM to drive sent me all over Belgium to get to Holland a total of 11 hours when the drive should only take 1.5 hours.

    I removed both versions of 18.1.x and reinstalled v18.0.12 back on the test phone and all is working again with routing.

    As I have stated lots of times before using Beta versions will give you lots of problems.

    I think it is more problem with phone then with Sygic. So far, never heard about such a case.
    Try to manually give apk all permissions, disable smart manager, check if you have some AVP that is restrictive, etc etc...

    Thanks guys. I added v18.0.12 Final to my post. I just tested it again and once i remove Sygic the error goes away. It's probably a Samsung/Android security thing. I'll check things and update here if i get it resolved.
