    Default Sygic Speedcams incorrect

    Hi,

I have purchased a fully licensed Sygic for my Android smartphone with all premium features.
Everything works fine etc, but I have noticed A LOT errors for the speedcams.

I was driving a couple of days around in my city to test the app and I passed some fixed speedcams which exist for 10 years now.
I don't receive a warning when driving in the direction where speedcam is located but I see the Speedcam icon on the map.
When I drive in the oposite direction I do receive the warning.
I then zoomed in the map and noticed that the Speedcam is on the wrong side of the road.

I have come across 6 cams like this in only two days while driving a couple of roads I know have speedcams.
Is there any way I can fix this?

What speedcam database is Sygic actually using?
This is very frustrating as it's very unreliable like this.

Is there a better way to display speedcams in Sygic?
If I change something, will I break something else?

    Thank you.

Example, this camera should be in the opostie direction.

That's interesting, assuming that you're using Sygic speedcam data which are directional and I would assumed accurate, you should not gotten wrong direction. The latest Sygic proggy uses speedcam data from ...\Maps\speedcams\offlinespeedcams.dat and it's in SQLite format. Post your offlinespeedcams.dat to zippyshare.com and the coords (lat, lon) of the 6 wrong speedcams.
You could use the following proggy to change it

I'll check that out when I get back home, thank you.
    I'm currently at work.

I wouldn't like to fix this individually for each speedcam
If I know that there is a speedcam I won't drive fast anyway.
I was hoping there would some kind of permanent fix

Also, if I edit this .dat file, next time Sygic performs an update it will replace this file I suppose, so there is no point in editing it, right?

Ok, it is very difficult to figure out the exact coordinates for all those speedcameras because if you're off for just one number it takes you somewhere completely else.

I have located the exact coords for the example in my first post.

    It's a tunnel.
There are camera's in both direction, one before the tunnel on side and the other is before the tunnel on the other side.
But according to the data in de offlinespeedcams.dat file both have the same Angle. That means that both face the same direction, right?

I'v uploaded the offlinespeedcams.dat file to zippyshare:

Here are the coords of the two camera's where one is correct and the other is wrong.

Put angle 360 for all. You'll reduce risk.
It's impossible find the correct angle for all speedcams

If you find the incorrect cameras when driving (I'm assuming that's how you know that they are incorrect), make note of the coords. If you post them, I can scan and find them in .dat
And yes, if you update speedcam, you'll have to correct those wrong cameras again. You can try contacting Sygic with corrections and they might fixes it.
If angles are the same, then directions are the same. Usually, if they want one camera to look both direction, the BothWays field is set to 1. What happen if you correct the angle per my instruction? Did it work correctly afterward?
BTW, it's odd that your .dat contained less cameras than the one that's over a year old. 70294 entries versus 104368.

P.S. Here is a way to find coords of cameras

    That's kind of dissapointing tbh.
If it would be with new caps I would somehow understand.
But these cameras exist for over 10 yrs. So strange.

Do you have knowledge about SCDB.info speedcams?
I see that I can import those in Sygic as well.
Are those also directional or will I get warnings no matter which direction I drive?

SCDB and PoiPlaza are not directional. And they are full of duplicates and errors, but there are a lot of them because it's user contributed. What you want is filtered SCDB or PoiPlaza and import it to .dat

Thank you for all the info.
Now I'm dissapointed that I've purchased that crap.

I should've just use HERE WeGo in combination with SamCam and that's it.

Sygic is notorious for putting out new versions often with rare one without any new problems. But this is the first time that I heard speedcams being "bad." Speedcams is tricky and ranging from various product offered for different proggy such as Cyclops for Garmin (directional), HERE for NNG (directional), Sygic (probably OSM based and directional) and user contributed SCDB, PoiPlaza, PocketWorld, etc... No one product is accurate (quality wise) for every regions and no one product is complete (quantity wise)
