If only Milena works on Nuvi 500! I will check it when I will go to camp. That unit have used TTS(v) files. No support for this voice format on European\American units of 2x5! It was checked on old files for other language in this format. May be Asian software supports this format...

As for all others addition update in rgn file - simply delete first 60 byte in file and rename to proprietary name. If you do not know proprietary name you can find it in garmindevice.xml, webupdater find it in in the same place! I use script in WinHex what contains one command for this simple operation.

Thus, the speech engine of Milena isn't supported by nuvi 255W too.

Is there any chance to find version and partnumber for encrypted voice files on PC?

    version: yes
partnumber: no (there is only a voice_name and a language)

I say this because I look at the vxml file in Voice Studio.

Message from the official representative of Garmin:
Milena is a newer speech engine, which will be perfected and supported by Garmin in the future.
The current implementation in the nuvi 30/40/50 is a trial start. No other devices don't support voice files from these devices, don't experiment, please ...

Yes. TTVE v2.91 fixes an issue with the new Chinese MeiLing voice. I think it was MeiLing v1.20
