I think it should work. If POI Loader works for you, EPE should work too. Please do try and let us know.

    Default Feedback for V5.10

1). I found that symbol size is the same size of icon from firmware. (Nice !! )
2). Speed alert works fine now.

Thanks. Good to know. Yes, I am still alive. Just a bit tired with all the work at the office. I should be releasing something soon with the custom wav audio alerts.

    Smile Extra Poi Editor

    Hello ,
I Have a Garmin nuvi 660 and when I put the .gpi file in /garmin/poi , this file is shown under WhereTo/Extra as "POI made with EPE"

Can I change this name in something others ( Like "Camperplaces" or "campings")

    Greets,
    Bielgeets

Ok. I'll use your .gpi file name as the name of the category. It seems different GPS uses different strings in the file.

Edit: Fixed and added to next release.

I read some information about directional POI.

It seems possible to specify a direction or even multiple directions to trigger an alert. Each direction can be unidirectional or bi-directional. You just specify the bearing angle with a tolerance. For example, bearing 57 degrees with a tolerance of +/- 25 degrees. This way you are sure to hit the mark without making the alert bi-directional. If you specify the alert is bi-directional, it will also trigger the alert at 237 degrees (57+180) with the same +/- 25 degrees tolerance.

Pretty cool. The normal POI Loader cannot chew those bearing information, but GPI Creator can. Maybe EPE will do it too..

I checked the different delievered XSD files, only the GPI_XML.xsd carries the Bearing information, and the gpx file must have the "v3 GPX_EXT.xsd" Tag

I would love to see the bearing type, especially for speed cameras
