    The problem is that my netbook is Acer Aspire One ZG5 and the screen resolution is only 1024x600, screen is 9". So I can not change screen resolution. As you can see from previous picture which I attached the font size is 5 times bigger than regular font in windows 7. Also it would be nice if I could hide bottom tool bar.

    This is of course possible, I have that netbook (my daughter) but with linux as OS .
    For windows....Just right-click on the bottom bar and choose "properties" , then flag "Hide automatically" . When the cursor will "fly" on the bottom of the screen it will reappear.
    Easy ,in this way you can hide that bar , gaining little bit space on screen.
    Hope to understood well your request.... but if you meant to hide the bottom bar of the software garmin, sadly but it's not possible .
    Bye, Umbe

    What you are asking for is not possible in the standard settings of the program. You would need to do some serious modification of the software and quite frankly it isn't worth the effort imo.

    What you can do is to 'restore down' the size of the map screen (your pic is showing maximized screen) and as Roger's suggested drag the sides (or you can grab the lower RH corner with your mouse, where the 3 diagonal bars are, and just drag in in proportion). But before you do that, 'auto hide' your win7 taskbar which will allow you to drag it down a little further. As you drag, you'll see that neither the size of the top and bottom banners or the letters change, only the map size changes. The proportions of the banners and map are ok in full size i think, i can't recall any other comments about them being made.

    Mmhhh....I do not agree
    Can be compatible (I try) file .... but how would the texts completely unpacked
    However the fonts would be the same

    The file GTT text consists of strings that are processed by TAG called by OS of GMPC
    If one wants to, can create even in ANCIENT ARAMAIC

    Look for example from my Italiano.gtt:
    <str>
    <tag>TXT_Routing_STR_S</tag>
    <txt>Calcolo Percorso</txt>
    </str>

    <str>
    <tag>TXT_Routing_STR_S</tag>
    <txt>Colcolo Percorso</txt>
    </str>

    I believe that the size of carartteri lies in SO or in some DLL program (but I could not find it, sorry)

    @jackmawatin
    What doesn't work exactly? .70 is the most stable version and there were a lot of bugs in the very early ones such as .10. Have a look at the changelog from Garmin:
    Code:

    I have both 5.00.60 and .50 somewhere as well. If you really want 5.00.10 i did get it from a torrent but have never used it so i can't guarantee that it's really .10 or that it's OK. It's here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    @neil, thanks for the reply.
    my unit is viliv s5. it's got a built in internal gps. i used to have the GMPC 50.00.10 version working fine until i fancied upgrading to GMPC 50.00.70. I couldn't make it work. just now i have installed the old version that you just gave me and it seems like it doesn't work either this time. i re installed the 50.00.70, looks like it is going to work because the gps is already found but it couldn't get a satellite position. i let it search for satellite overnight, left it by the window with clear blue sky but still no signs of the birds. GPS is read by Franson's GPSgate using the virtual port 5,6,7 and 8. i wonder what could be missing in my process. the only thing i notice now is the .70 version shows all the serial ports created by Franson's GPSgate. alot of them around 6 or 7 ports while the .10 version is showing only one port and that is the Comm1 port. why can' they be the same? if i could only get all those ports in .10 version, i am sure i can get the satellite fix but the problem is it can only search for 1.

    Maybe this is when things changed?:

    Changes made from version 5.00.30 to 5.00.50:
    Update GPS connection processing for some third party GPS drivers.
    Update COM port searches and display listings.

    Did you run the GPSGate as administrator?
