Love your wife? Buy yourself a GPS for answering to her favorite question: "Dear, where are you?".
I downloaded the entire mapset indicated in Bam-Bam's post, and installed it into Basecamp using GMap Tool (add the img, split, with "compile Preview Map" selected, setting a mapset name, and setting a FID (1001) and PID (1).
Everything displays fine in Basecamp, but if I enter a route or track, I can't view the elevation graph in the track or route properties - I get an error message that says "There is no elevation data in the selected track(s)".
I've tried clicking on "Track/Advanced/Set selected track to map elevation", but this option is grayed out.
I'm using the free version of cGPS Mapper in conjunction with GMap tool.
Any ideas on how to access elevation data?
Hi, and thanks for the reply Catymag - apologies for crashing the Mapsource thread.
I couldn't find an equivilant Basecamp thread, but the instructions are largely the same. I have created an SD card, but when running from the card, printing is disabled - I like to print maps to take with me when walking, and although I always have the appropriate OS sheet in my bag, having an A4 or A5 in your pocket is very convebient. Any ideas?
Printing in some maps is disabled because Garmin doesnt have a licence to allow customers to print these maps.
In Mapsource usually can print them, so try with Mapsource Gmaptool version you created.
If you did all according to instructions ,you should have the install.bat for Mapsource
Yeah, i have the instal.bat, but when i do it, what happends then?
Cant see any changes, or se the map in mapsource!
