PS: same result with Varsavia, Warsow or Warsawa or Warszawa.
No Caty you are not alone!
Basecamp recognizes Warsaw as a ....POI (as all the cities and villages) and only if you press MORE and you don't add Poland after Warsaw.
at the exact same point where good old Mapsource marks the city of Warsaw.

And this is the improved usability and speed of search....
I'm trying to find an address in Milano Italy.
Corso Magenta 25, in the center of the city, with no special characters in the name, no italian idioms so to be easy for Basecamp to find.
With all Europe visible I search by Address, City and Country but the search goes for ever with no good result.
Now I center Milan on the screen and search again like before.
Again the search goes for ever...
Now I center the screen on the center of Milan, where I know that this address exists and search only by Name and Number.
No luck again, this time the search IS finished with no good results AGAIN, although I can see the right address on the map!!!!!
I simplify my search to only "Magenta 25" with the center of Milan centered on the screen, and FINALLY it shows on the list!!!!!!!!
My address can be found by Basecamp as "Magenta 25" and NOT as "Corso Magenta 25" as it is on the map, GREAT !!!!!!!
Now that I know how it can be found, I return to full European map on the screen and search as "Magenta 25 Milan Italia"
The search finishes showing some results in ......Netherlands, GREAT !!!!!!!!
Now I search as "Magenta 25 Italia" and to my "surprise", at least I get some ....Italian (but wrong again) results, AFTER the search has finished.
How bugged (or stupid) can Basecamp be when it comes to Search??????
Unless Garmin wants us to search ONLY in nearby Adventures or Geocaches.....
With Mapsource it's straight forward....
They need to port the address search function from Mapsource to BaseCamp.
BaseCamp searches become even worse if the Map is in the GPS and not installed in the Computer.
I have 2014.10 NTU installed in the Computer and I can find any European City (Basecamp 4.2.3)
Map fully Zoomed Out
Finding Streets within the city is not so easy.

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
Guys, we know that the BaseCamp search option is not working well. Luckily, there are some options to show/find your location quickly. With the instruction below it is not always required to have the map centred on the location you are looking for. However, the easiest way and to get the best result is when you zoom your map on the location you are looking for.
Tips for your search input and retrieval:
- Add the country code to your search information, so if you search for Amsterdam, use Amsterdam NLD. This will work for the City Navigator maps. It is also possible to replace NLD for Nederland (this will work for OnRoute or Bicycle maps);
- If this doesn't work, use the local name writing so for example Paris instead of Parijs (Dutch writing);
- If you do not know the country code or the local name, use the Search Option icon (wheel with the circle around icon in the right top corner below the magnifying glass) and start typing. You will see all possible findings including country codes. Unfortunately this will not always work because of special characters in the name and inconsistency of the maps/database. See detailed examples of Mâcon and Gèneve in the Dutch instruction video below.
- The standard writing/information you have to use when searching for a local address is: [Street name] [Home number] [City name] [Country code]. Unfortunately this will not work especially for a street name of more then one word. (e.g. 'Unter den Linden' located in Berlin Germany). The instruction in this case is to use the standard writing as shown before but then with the first part (first and/or second word) of the street name. At the search results you use the button [More] next to the address search results. See for more details in the instruction video below. Exception: Street name with number (although the street name is more than one word) is easy to find when the maps are zoomed at the correct map location.
With thanks to Mr GPS - Instruction video (Dutch):

If I know where is it lol. This is really stupid imho, anyway on every Garmin forum there are countless threads of people cant find locations using BC search, I guess something is wrong or at least it's not user friendly. We need videos , tutorials or courses lol.the easiest way and to get the best result is when you zoom your map on the location you are looking for
We were used to MS search that was simple and great. Just wondering why that piece of code has been trashed to replace it with this one?
