    Hi,

I have an N95-1 with v30.0.015 and it's hellocarbide'd. I have already installed the downloadable Nokia 3204 maps and have paid for a 30 day license - before finding this "version". I have 27 days left. Should I wait until my license expires before installing the illusion 3204 file or does it not matter and, how will the illusion version work with an existing license. Has anyone had this situation or does anyone know how the "open" version works with licensing under the hood.

    Thanks,
    Brian.

To be on the safe side just let your current Nokia subscription run out and then proceed to *upgrade* using the guides her later. Upgrading your Nokia maps with an officially updated version will not affect your current subscription.

Did you receive a licence key when you paid for navigation or your phone puchased new with it already included?

Let us know how you go.

Thanks. I purchased the 30 day license on the phone costing 6.00GBP which I did via SMS and it automatically activated it so I think I received a key - I just didn't see it. My phone was bought 2nd-hand and debranded at v12 and has had updates to 20, 21 & 30 - and then "opened" so nothing existed on the phone.

    ONE question!

Someone with an N82 already updated it to v30 firmware und checked to install Nokia maps by illusion? Does this work?

I am afraid to update my N82, because it could not work anymore after that! Please answer with yes it works, or no!

    2. point is: Do i have to hack my phone to install it or is it also possible to sign the sis with my OPDA cert an install it?

Someone already did such a thing with their N82? Please report here.

in the first weeks i had the same problem when i did a journey far away from my homearea. The problem was that nokiamaps was missing the map-data between this two points. So check your installed maps and reinstall ist an it schould be abeld to calculate the route, sometimes it even takes veeeeery long, as i checked out.

But what with my question above.. already checked it on N82 with noch v30 firmware?

I have exactly the same problem on my N95-2 : everything SEEMS to work, but no navigation. Always "calcutating".....
    Quite useless this way .....

Have you disabled A-GPS, Network, ...?
I have only "GPS" enabled in my positioning settings...
