    Default Lynix

Remove and reinsert SD card to check new CID.

Dazu
    cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid

    1. Format the microSD card in Windows in FAT32 format. It may happen that you only see "NTFS" or "exFAT" in the 64GB versions, then you have to get a tool that can do this. (fat32 format or HP USB format tool)

    2. Extract the Navi card and copy the folder "cryptnav" completely and prod_info.txt to the microSD card. (this may take a little longer depending on the PC / laptop)

3.1 Make an Ubuntu USB Live Stick (there are too many tools to choose from "unetbootin", "Universal USB Installer", "rufus" and many more).

3.2 Copy the "mmc32" or "mmc64" file to the other USB stick.

    4. Starting from the Ubuntu USB stick in the "live" version, is called select the first menu item in "Try Ubuntu"

    5. Insert the microSD card into the SD card slot.

    6. Open the "Terminal", in the top left corner, enter the Ubuntu symbol and "terminal".

    7. Now you have to give yourself admin rights. Just add sudo -s

    8. Now test whether the SD card slot / card reader is compatible. To do this, type the df command (or lsblk)
You will now see devices connected to the system.
Very important here: you must be able to see an entry "/ dev / mmcblk *", if you see only one entry with "/ dev / sd **", you know that this cardreader is not compatible.

    9. Now you have to test if the microSD card is compatible. To do this type in the following command
    ls -l / sys / block | grep mmc32 (or mmc64)
There are now a number of entries. Searching for a line with the entry "mmc0: 0001", if you find this, it means, you can use the microSD card. However, if you have an entry with eg. "mmc0: 59b4", you can stop or test another microSD card.

    10. Now connect the second USB stick with the "mmc" file and copy the file to the desktop. Now in the terminal on the folder desktop change. In addition cd home / liveuser / Desktop (can be also different). Or right-click on Desktop "Terminal" select.

    11. Now grant the file extended write permissions. In addition chmod + x mmc32 (or mmc64 for 64 bit ubuntu)

    12. Now flash the CID of the microSD card. To
    ./mmc32 prog_cid / dev / mmcblk0 5d5342303030384712750a9e2f0117bf
    (for 64 bit mmc64)

Attention: this CID is only for Connect 1 v8 maps.
If everything went well, the terminal should spit out this issue: Success! Remove and reinsert SD card to check new CID.

    13. Insert the microSD card and insert it again, then check if the CID was really flashed. To
    cat / sys / block / mmcblk0 / device / cid
The terminal should now show you the CID that you flashed in step 12. The last two digits can be different, eg. .... c010101 if this is the case, it is not bad.

mmc32 and mmc64 command files can be found on the internet or in other navi forums (vw, opel).

Laptop must have pci-e card reader, otherwise it will not work. SD card must be changeable CID number.

Hi. When I inserted the sd card, there was no update message, but the card worked. The new version of the card is as in the picture. Is this ok.

    Hi,

you will only see an update message if sd card contains a newer navi app.
    Version sd2-GENH_EU_F.A v2 is card V8 (see \cryptnav\info.txt).
