Reset the device. Back up your favorites "current.gpx" in GPX folder if you want to keep them. To restore later, rename it "temp.gpx" and drop it back in the GPX folder.
So what's the difference between SCDB and cyclops? For me, radars are radars ...

The new SCDB speed cameras for Garmin _ 07 Aug 2017 are making me GPS very slow perhaps because of the size of the files ...

They're different operation of alerts, albeit on the same 'radars'. As said before by the very knowledgeable osiris4isis, Cyclops are directional which means they only alert in the direction(s) monitored by the camera. SCDB and other similar POIs are radial, they alert whichever direction from which you approach the cam and therefore can give false alerts as well as the correct one. Watch this video:

Maybe some kind soul will post them for you. Meanwhile, read this:

Did you try a reset as I suggested before? Read this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

I've put the whole of the 07 Aug issue on a nuvi 255W and it caused no problems.

Why do I have to rename Current.gpx to temp.gpx?
Read this: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. The procedure is the same if you are copying back to the same nuvi after a hard reset which will remove your recent history in GPX folder.

If I delete the file Current.gpx directly it will not be the same?
No, not the same as a hard reset. Removing current.gpx only removes your favorites etc as said.

What is the purpose of this file and the archive folder that is in GPX?
All explained above and if you read some more in the links and tutorials index.

If I do this, the new radars that are making me the slowest gps, changing the folder current.gpx to temp.gpx will solve the problem?
No. You ONLY need to change the name to temp.gpx when you put the file back AFTER a reset because if you put it back as current.gpx it won't work after a reset has been done.

Ok I don't know what the gps was formatting that way.
I thought it was enough to format once it connected to the computer.
I just do not understand why gps will get faster by renaming the current.gpx to temp.gpx folder after formatting, just by putting the new radars.
So far GPS has worked well until the new July radars show up.

If I want to format the gps again later the current.gpx folder will be named temp.gpx
How do I do in this case where the folder will already be named temp.gpx?

Being they radars cyclops directionnal or SCDB and other similar POIs are radial they do not repeat themselves with each other in gps?
    Best regards.

You seem to be confusing 'reset' with 'format'. Neither of us suggested that you FORMAT the device. I suggested that you try a RESET which is another thing entirely. I gave you this link in Post no. 12: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. If you want to reset your 255 just turn it off, hold the lower right corner of the screen, turn it back on and follow the prompts. However, there is NO good reason to format it so please don't do that unnecessarily.

No, that's wrong too. I did NOT say that it 'will get faster' by doing that. The only reason for making a copy of the gpx file is so you can restore favorites after a hard reset, but if you neither reset nor are concerned about losing favorites then you don't need to do that at all.

So far GPS has worked well until the new July radars show up.
You said: 'new SCDB speed cameras for Garmin _ 07 Aug 2017' slowed it. Yet when I put the same files in a very similar nuvi 255W there was no problem. Maybe you should remake the SCDB from the Garmin.zip as per the official SCDB tutorial I linked in the code box of Post no. 12.

If I want to format the gps again later the current.gpx folder will be named temp.gpx
How do I do in this case where the folder will already be named temp.gpx?
Hopefully you now understand (i) that you don't need to format; and (ii) you only need to copy current.gpx before a reset and replace it as temp.gpx after the reset, and that's only if you intend resetting.

Being they radars cyclops directionnal or SCDB and other similar POIs are radial they do not repeat themselves with each other in gps?
Yes, you will see a lot of false alarms with SCDB and possible duplicated alarms when using both Cyclops and SCDB. Both systems rely on using coordinates and the coordinates for a particular camera are unlikely to be exactly the same for both.

Use an online translator to read the above in Portuguese if you are still having difficulty understanding. Use um tradutor on-line para ler o acima em português se você ainda tiver dificuldade em entender.

It's a definite duplicated alarms. Cyclops alerts are based on 3 set of coords which their proprietary code handled. SCDB (or Garmin POI-like) alerts are based on one. So the chances they are "exactly" the same is slim.
If you go with the mentality that any alert is better than no alert (ie: coverage) then use both. If you only wants accuracy (but not necessary the "latest" addition), then go with Cyclops*. People uses SCDB because it's freely available and updated often (but not necessary correct nor accurate)

    * Cyclops is a pay service; if you use it, please try to buy it
Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.

Well, to say what GPS is still slow once I put the new radars.
If anyone knows how I can keep updating without being slow, I will apreciate it.
    Best regards.

I'd like to sign the cyclops to run a test on his radar. I hired the service from SCDB and the notice and BIP from garmin. Does anyone know a premium that voice alerts the radar around the world, for igo8.3 and primo and gamrin?
