help Garmin Map Pilot - Creating Speedcam's POI with *.wav voices and *.bmp signs

    Dear community,

I've got a great help from FIREFOX58 with his proggy ManagePoi_v1.5.1_by_FireFox58 but I can not manage to have the voices working.
On the ManagePOI of Firefox58 I can test the voices and it works for every speed limit. After it creates the *.gpx file, I have to use Garmin POILOADER to create the *.gpi file and here's the problem.
After successfully creating the file (*.gpi) and copy it into the SDCARD, it shows me the speedcams signs on the road ONLY with a beep sound.

    Any hint?

    Here is my working folder.

    Hi,
to get Audio Wave work you have to include the file SOX.Exe v 14.0.1 in the folder of PoiLoader (where is the PoiLoader.exe)
    I attach the file ...

Meanwhile I'm working to a new version of Garmin ManagePoi (probably the 1.5.2) with the new function of "automatic conversione of Source Files in UTF-8 format"
    stay tuned ...

    Ciao Firefox58

I followed your instructions but still the voices don't work ... (I still can see the speedcam signs when approaching and a beep)
As you can see on the pic, the sox.exe is in the POILOADER folder but still doesn't work. I also attached the *.gpi file generated with sox.exe inside the POILOADER Folder.
When I test it in your proggy it works fine ... but on the device no ... what am I doing wrong?

Can you please give me a help on this?

    Grazzie mille

To verify the whole process I need the original .WAV files, I can't extract them from .GPI

    Okay, sorry.
Try with Audio files in attachment.
If it doesn't work, I guess Map Pilot does not handle .wav files but only standard beep

Shall I put these files in this folder?

    D:\ManagePoi_v1.5.1_by_FireFox58\ManagePoi\Audio

It is not necessary, simply overwrite yours in Source Directory, along .CSV and .BMP files

    Doesn't work ... 😡
    Any other workaround?
Regarding map pilot not handle sound files, I don't think so because when I trace a route it tells me to turn right, left, to exit and so on, so there should be some kind of sound file format that it will play ... (wilde thought)

The voice you hear while navigarion is another matter.
That is TTS voice, every navigator has it. We are speaking about alert .wav file. It is not sure a navigator can handle it.
StreetPilot for Android devices doesn't handle any file, nor .wave, nor .mp3 for example.
I guess that is the problem.
    No solution for that.
