Default Sectional or Average Speed Alert?

I've been trying to find an automated way to generate periodic alerts over a sectional/average speed alert (because of it's long distances). The problem is that the dataset I'm using is from Cyclop and it doesn't give the end of the alert location on the street (just some crazy location near it) It's hard to debug the alerts because I have no idea where is the actual end point. I don't think SCDB have that info so I can't use/compare it with Cyclop. Are there dataset somewhere for sectional/average speed alert (with starting and ending points) in countries such as UK, Germany, Italy, etc... that I can use to crosscheck my conversion?

    Spoiler: good

All routing points are on street. The blue markers are Cyclop data points (always going from 2 to 3 to 1)

    Spoiler: bad

See how Cyclop point 1 is off road and cause incorrect routing?

    Spoiler: incorrect route

Point 1 near street but routing pick different street. Is there something special about this alert?

That's pretty decent Uber rate (but if I had that sort of $$$, I would spend it on a decent Nuvi.) It's an overkill for the drive (oh maybe you should pay me for that scenic drive?); just check it with your Nuvi (when you're bored) Hard to believe that's an alert of that length. So how they detect "your average speed" for that long length? Camera take snapshot of your license plate when first entered and then again when exiting? Then they compute your average speed? Any periodic checkpoints in between?

Can't say for sure, but an old mate of mine [now retired*] formerly employed by a State road authority told me that there would be gantries with banks of cameras in the near future feeding info to number plate recognition software which would compute average speeds for sectional distances between intermediate cameras on such [then proposed] long lengths. Theoretically that would mean that multiple tickets could be issued to the same vehicle on a single trip i guess.
*Retired from that employ, not as my mate of course. Nobody would ever wish to terminate my acquaintance 'cos i'm so nice to know.

$1 a klick is mate's rates and much better than Uber, but i can see you're broke or you'd upgrade from a pre-Jurassic 765 obviously. Not too bored at present however will load latest Cyclops and check in simulation eventually but may or may not bother to tell you the result. [Probably will do it and report with some screenshots tomorrow or next day champ, stand by].

Dude, I don't even have my old 765, it's on loan *sigh* I did a little digging into UK SPECS/VECTOR average cam. It sounded like multiple detectors are place at least 200m apart. Damn, I was hoping to reduce the number of alert circles needed to be created on the route (originally I was planning two: one at beginning and one at end). I would like alert txt to be something like: "Average Speed XX kph, YY meters until end", so I will have to generate a POI for each of those alerts (number could get out of hand searching wise)
Since there are only 10 sectional cams in Aussie land, I've attached output of my proggy (feel free to crosscheck it). There are 3 .jpg's for each sectional and their naming convention are:
    1. <lon>,<lat>.jpg is the route showing marker for alert circles
    2. <lon>,<lat>,0.jpg is showing the blue circle of 15m of pt3 to see if it hit the road correctly (the green circle is midpoint of pt2 and pt3)
    3. <lon>,<lat>,<dist>.jpg is showing the overall range of the alert with <dist>=total distant of route in meters, the red dot is pt3 (start of alert) and center of green circle is pt1 (end of alert)
    Spoiler: .

<lon> and <lat> are longitude and latitude of pt3. Sort the .jpg's by name so the 3 files grouped together.

Ok, there are two ways that alerts can be created under Garmin POI record.
    1. With speed=0 (or no speed) then alert is trigger when in range; alert message displayed the name of alert
    2. With speed<>0 (with a speed) then alert is trigger when in range AND over the speed; alert message is built-in
Since sectional alert deal with average speed; having it trigger based on the speed doesn't really make sense.
Putting multiple trigger points for sectional makes more sense because it remind the driver. If created with speed=0, I can have alert message to be something like: "Alert: Section/Average Speed at XX kph for YY m left" If created with speed=XX, you'll get the built-in alert message of something like: "XX km/h Speed Alert Ahead"
Now since US don't have any sectional alerts, it doesn't matter to me; but for you folks that have to deal with it, which way is better for you? Personally, I think having meaningful alert message is better.

To me it makes total sense to do it as you've suggested. I have to head north in the next couple of weeks so i'll check out the one on the Bruce H'way in the flesh.

Whoa! I did not know google has traffic alerts data. I'm going to build .gpi with only section alert for you to test. There is only 10, but I think I saw one with 60km length!

Well ... you only had to ask me dude, neilipedia. Truthfully, i don't know if google offers that service really. I think it's a google maps overlay by Qld transport [who call 'sectional' cameras 'point to point']. I got there by this page after clicking 'View the point-to-point speed camera locations on Google Maps':
