I always use the 4 files under "Спидкам для скина New Navitel 2015 от пользователя Fobiem."Quote:

For USSR (Putin special build) I had used single file under "Спидкам только для скина New Navitel". before they split it up. I no longer build from those.
New build with lang correction and beep
Spoiler: .
Update: This update seem to load ok now (it's under "Alerts") but I didn't test to see if alerts work because I do not have Russian map loaded. I do not know what was previous problem; I just rebuild and load on my android and it works now.
It doesn't work for me. I see it in Preferences (under Cyclop), but map have no signs and voice alerts.Quote:

Overwriting the old file (with "Putin") without change anything and all start working.
How is the new build working for you?Quote:

osiris4isis now its working! Thank You! But only with Bip and Ding sounds, without voice allerts.
This is odd indeed, I ran the .gpi through my parser and it showed that the .wav files are there and looking at some random records that are not using the Beep alerts, I see that it's using the custom wav. The predefined Ding tone is probably Garmin way of saying "I can't play your .wav"* Since I haven't changed the format of the .wav files, I don't see why Garmin would have problem with it. Only change is the build is on a new Win7 machine while older build are on WinXP, but I don't think that matter. It could be corruptions of those .wav files when I copied it over to new machine. I will continue to investigate, but not as high-priority since I'm in middle of something now.Quote:

* on Street Pilot, it won't be able to play .mp3 nor .wav but it will not play Ding tone, instead you get silence.
Garmin units need the .wav files to have strict specs i.e. mono, 44100Hz. Sox.exe is invoked by POI Loader to ensure they conform, i think you use a custom compiler though don't you Osiris?
And another effect of this allerts. They change standard speed limit sign on the map (at europe map its a circle on the lower left corner).
Cyclop doesnt do this! On some places in Moscow they alert me about limt at 60km, while on map i see circle with 80 inside.
Spoiler: Screenshots (left one with osiris4isis alerts OFF via preferences menu)
I remember it was standart feature on 3490 devices, when we press by hand on this circle we can adjust speed limit manualy. And after this changes, we can find special file (i dont remember it name) containing our speed changes.
Looks like part of the software code of this feature continue present on other devices and with this type of GPI we can at background (if don't use icons and sounds inside GPI) change speed limits of the map ;)
Yes, my Russian voice .wav* are conforming to those specs but since I have no way of testing it (no real Garmin unit to play with) I do not know if that's the problem. I'm not using any "custom compiler", the incantation is:Quote:

1. Parse Navitel released alerts and create .xml (with creation of different Categories, Icons and Audios)
2. Use Garmin GPI Creator Toolkit to compile to .gpi
* voices are downloaded from Navitel, converted over to Garmin .wav requirement or from .spx format.
