I've tried the large (22.2MB) Sangeeta vpm file in Nuvi 265, 1390, 2350, 2460, 2455, 3790, 3490 and 3590. It 'bricked' none. If a newly added voice file did prevent a unit from booting correctly, it can simply be removed or the unit cured. No big deal. But due to the range of units i've tried it in, i doubt it will cause any problems in any unit that can normally handle TTS. I've left the file in all the above units units, even the ones where i knew it would be, it's proved to be, incompatible and with no ill-effects so far. The small file works only in x0, x2, x4 and probably 1x0 (but untested in last).Quote:

I tested it with IT & FR first as requested, and then did several other EU language kb/text settings as well to further test it. As said, the small file will not work in any 2/3xxx unit.Quote:

Maybe these voices are meant for that series, but they do work with other earlier units... mostly with 24xx/25xx/34xx, BUT the AU 2460 is NOT a device related to the 24/25/34 MTP units. It is more like a 5" version of a 23xx and has similar menu and settings as that series and the 37xx, and yet the Sangeeta voice works in it fine.Quote:
2) model and series 2013 ONLY .....
EDIT: I now believe it's unsafe to try the new voices TTS2 in older units. I now know that the Sangeeta voice file i was referring to in the tests above is an older TTS(1) file.
