Words and phrases works ok apart from 'Commerce'. Select language and hear phrase in selected language.
Bilingual Dictionaries seems strange (maybe not working?). Select say English to French. Pick a word, say 'abandon'. Only one speaker icon and language is English (Unit language) not French (English to French selected earlier).
Maybe NOT working properly on 3790. Not sure what is meant to do but would assume it SHOULD translate word to requested language?
Anyone tried SD card install for 3790? Do you get same missing file message?
You cant install from SD.
@loypop000
Are you saying the Language Guide cannot be run from microSD card in /Garmin folder on a nuvi3790?
I haven't tried yet but had assumed it should work fine.
GLG work from SD card but you cant install it to nuvi like older glg.
When you buy new language guide and after you pay,garmin language transfer over internet and automaticly installed on nuvi,like update FW.
Thanx. Now I understand.
I'd be interested to know if 'commerce' missing file error was happening on 3790 when GLG was run from an sdcard and not from unit memory.
On 1370T, copy the LEX-PKG files to SD, \Garmin and \.system in the device won't work at all!
Erase LEX_PKG from SD card and from .System folder
Download [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and extract
Copy LEX_PKG to Garmin folder on internal memory of your nuvi.
Open keygen and put ID of your nuvi in it.
Select garmin language guide and click generate.
Open D046800.unl with notepad
Copy/paste generated code and save.
Turn off/on your nuvi
Garmin language guide now work.
p.s.
If you dont know how to generate code send me your garmindevice.xml on PM and i create D046800.unl for you.
You must update your nuvi with webupdater to latest FW,becouse this new glg wont work with older FW for series 1xxx
It may not work exactly in the way that you would expect. You could however hear booth languages if you do it like Garmin developers expects the user to do.Quote:

Screenshots from a nüvi 3790:
When you buy the download version of "Oxford™ Travel Language Guide: Western Europe and the Americas (010-D0055-00)" you will receive "D046800.zip", "D046800.unl" and "D046800.gma" in the units Garmin directory. After you disconnect the USB and the Garmin Communicator Plugin connection then start the GPS unit. After the unit starts up it will show a message and extract "D046800.zip" to "LEX_PKG" inside the "Garmin" directory.Quote:

Even the latest download from Garmin about 2 days ago have the error with the "Commerce..." menu when trying with a nüvi 3790T. Made a compare directories (with WinDiff x64) between my 2 day old download direcly from Garmin and the one in [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. They are 100% identical.
I have the "Commerce..." problem with the latest version directly from Garmin. Tried both with [unit]:Garmin\LEX_PKG and [microSD]:\Garmin\LEX_PKG.
This problem didn't occur with the older version before v2010.

@Ballebar
I think the developers had much better approach with the "Phrases" part where both language options were provided on the one screen. Much more user friendly than changing language setting in dictionary and then searching for word in unknown language.
Overall though I can see that the GLG could still be a useful tool when travelling in a foreign country. I was thinking maybe 'Commerce' needed POI data from Europe map which I don't have loaded. Interesting though that 'Commerce' problem seems to be a fault in the original package, and is limited to certain models.
