Firstly, great post and thanks for the update.

Could anyone help me if this update is valid for Peugeot 308, RNEG 2.86.B.1 - Firmware. This kind of sat nav or music system doesnt have a SD card slot.

    Anyone help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in anticipation

My Thanks to everybody who tried to help.
I succeeded, taking everythin' from "0". Two USB 2.0 sticks used, one 8 GB, the other one 32, both formatted to FAT32 default allocation (only the 32 used effectively, the other one was kind'a backup). Java generated with cc.dat.inf from SMEG+IV2 folder. New file downloaded previously (as I have anticipated Shader's advice, thank you for that...). Full EU coverage took 1hr & 40mins to finish. Database for Speedcams updated to the Oct version (latest I could find), took few minutes, about 7. Everything looks fine, I will try a destination during this weekend.
Now I'm struggling with myself to update or not the FW too... Uffff....
Have a nice evening you all,

Have a nice evening you all,
If the system works good why you should upgrade the firmware from the unit ?

You can let it do by the dealer with a service check it is for free & you dont brick the unit.

If it is going wrong dont cry if you destroy the unit by your self.

And it's why on new system (Connect Nav) you can't.
You can apply only updates proposed for your car and your system.
