    Default bootloop smeg Peug 208

After starting the car this morning, my SMEG is starting up, showing the Peugeot Logo for some time followed by a black screen, shuts down and again starting up with the Peugeot logo.
    Again and again.

Just in 10 out of the hunderd startups you could hear the radio for less then a second and shows time and temperature before it shut down directly and begin all over......

Tried already loading the 3.21 firmware, loading maps-software, loading alert zone
USB blinks two or three times but nothing.

Disconnecting battery for more the half an hour also.

Who has had the same and how did you solve this ????????

    Hello,

Do you have an USB stick plugged into the car port ?
Do you have a CD drive to load the latest firmware?
Did you remove the fuse from the car radio?
Not easy to solve this problem, I hope the hardware is not damaged ?

    No USB in the port
    No CD-player in the car.

System does not react on USB with latest firmware.

I dismount the system from the dashboard to reset, does not work either.

Sometimes I see the map or the animation for half a second before it shuts down trying to start up again....

Going to try to get out the SD-card and check if it starts up without this card.
Maybe the data on the card is faulty and is it possible to change the data.

My unit is send for repair. Don't know what the did exactly.

I think the placed a new and empty SD-card and upload firmware.

    You can try that.

it is in the radio unit.
Je have to remove the screen before you can take the unit out.

Sd card is behind one of the metal parts of the housing. Simply to take apart.

    kinlozen.

My problem was solved on this morning after your explanation about SD-card and screenshots posted by mytheuzen. I'd formated my internal SD-card and everything is Ok now. Booting without SD-card, it doesn's work. But with it empty, is Ok. Now I don't have maps but I'll put it on the SD again by "commom" update (USB).

Thanks a lot kinlozen and mytheuzen
