You need to activate the MirrorLink via Lexia tool or a dealer can do it for you, if your model of head unit and firmware are correct.

I have a 208 1.2 82cv style from 2016 with version 6.1.D.R19 firmware. I think the hardware support mirrorlink but what you think?
    Thanks for your reply!

Your Head unit is a SMEG+IV2 so yes it should support Carplay/MirrorLink. you just need to tool to do it yourself or ask a Peugeot Dealer to do it. I ahve heard that some UK dealers have refused doing this, but others have done it. So wherever you live the dealership may, or may not do it for you.

You want to know what is your radio unit. If it is SMEG+iv2, then firmware is for you. It can be installed to the unit without GPS as well. But hardware with GPS navigation is different and you can't get navigation just by firmware upgrade.

New version was released for the SMEG +IV2 6.3.D.R6
Update at your own risk. Unfortunately, there is information on the changes that are made to the firmware, I believe they are just fixes and improvements.

This update fixes issues caused by the 6.3.C.R11

from what model was this for? Peugeot or Citroen?

I have noticed the folder structure and amount of files are the same as the 6.1.D.R20 structure.

On another Citroen form a user quoted some changes:

    Firmware installed tonight on DS5

    A priori:

    - new icon for start / stop. It is clear when the system is ON or OFF
    - Disappears the Internet Browser icon. It was not useful to me but allowed to connect in wifi to save vehicle position
    - Rearrangement of the source icons Media
    - Display bug in the menu drive (icons of recording camera / in case of accident, probably for C3 )
    - Loss of recent destinations after update

and probably other improvements / corrections less visible. No Android icon Auto, but you probably need to go through the garage for activation if the option becomes available
If anyone does upgrade, Please let the forum know what Model of car you have including what version your are coming from.

I've just updated my 2016 Peugeot 208 Blue Lion with Connect Nav and it's all still working as it should. Except there's now a button for some Citroen specific camera which doesn't belong there in the Drive settings. But I hardly open that menu so I don't mind.
