help Peugeot 308 Wip nav display problem

    Hello all.
This is my first post - I couldn't find on the forum the information I needed and maybe like this somebody can help me with this problem.

I have a (second hand) Peugeot 308 from 2009 with Wip nav and I have a problem with the display.
From time to time - and as I saw it is not depending on temperature my display is flickering as crazy an I cannot see anything on it.
If I touch the whole display (push it a little from the side or just forward - backward) after a few minutes the problem disappears.

I wanted to take it out - the whole display with support but I don't know what to check on it.

And another thing with the display - it has visible marks how it was cleaned before (most visible in the sunlight) and it is not nice. Can I repair it with something?

Can you help me with anything on this ?

If needed i can post some pictures or video with the problem if I can catch it

Thank you and sorry if I didn't post this where I should.

    Hello,

You can clean your GPS screen with cotton pad and this product, the result is guaranteed.

The problem of the screen with excessive heat (sun) is known.
The plug behind RT6 is maybe a little unplugged ?
You must check screen cable to RT6 ?

You can remove screen for that, it's easy with care with this tool set.

For remove RT6, you must to have special tool set like this.

    Hello.
    Thank you for your reply.
I was afraid that nobody will answer.

When I have some time (and the tools) I will try what you said and If I solve anything I will come back and state it here.

I must say that at the time I post this thread , some days were colder in the morning and warm during the day. Maybe it still could be temperature the cause?
I took out the display with the support and tried to see what could be. But after that I didn't had any problems with it. But the temperature was not that low after that.

Or maybe could it be that when I looked at the display somehow fixed the problem ?

Anyway -this is how it happend until now. It does this for a while (1-2 days) then it does not for a while. And then again.

Anyway I will try to do the things you said.

    Thanks again.

    Default Display flickering

    @christi_d

I see three possible reasons. Give a company like
    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
a call and have them fix it for you.

    Hello WayneLaPie.
Thank you very much for your reply.

Up until now I didn't had time to do anything because it darkens very fast(and I leave work almost when is already dark).
And I am hesitating a little because I don't have a spare display and it is mine.
You know how it is when an object is yours. You take care of it and you don't want to break it

About what you said, I am not an expert or anything but I understand what you said

One last thing, up until now, still no problem with the display. So somehow I'm waiting to happen again (I still hope it will not happen again) until I decide next steps.
But only recently the weather is colder and maybe from now on it will happen again.

Thank you again and I will post here if I will solve the problem and how.
