All updates - "I see no difference"? Why then update?

New release means stability/performance improvement and bug fixes. Just because someone doesn't notices differences doesn't mean there are none. It might be because we don't push the system to it's limit to see the actual problems that is has. When I bought the car I did play a little with it but now I pretty much ignore it, play some music, little talk on the phone and rarely use navigation.

Hi - I'm new here - great resource!
Just wanted to ask, do you guys not use Md5 or any other checksum to ensure firmwares have downloaded correctly?
I'm always meticulous about these with phones costing a few hundred quid - a bad flash could mess up a lot more value in my c4gpii!
    Maybe I've always been overcautious...

Also, I'm assuming there's no need to unzip before flashing? Just insert 5.42.C.R2.zip on a usb stick with eco off and let the magic happen?

To be confirmed, but I believe that SMEG+ unit checks integrity before flashing.

    Update done this morning.
I'll check in the coming days if everything is fine.

That was my first update, totally freaking.
Around 20 minutes for the whole process. Checks before update and phase 6 are the longer parts.8f686c5255d4e26ab84b9cbad7fde3a00304840c433d0386724e8e0e53c0317b0496dfddb3d213a3b48f16d58f8a6845e45cad145a8aa612431f49f2b216ca3e
