Many seller Peugeot unfamiliar with the USB kit for RT4 ?
But it works perfectly, you can make updates, maps and radars.
The USB flash drive must be formatted in FAT32.
You only need to unpack the iso and load all its contents in the USB stick for updates.
    Hello Bricoman,
currently, I am running an 8,10 software in my Peugeot 607 (made in 2010). Before I go ahead with installing the 8,31 software, I have a couple of questions. My car has USB so I am thinking of useing the USB for the update. So I have downloaded the file from the first post of this thread, I have unzipped it,then useing DAEMON Tools I have mounted the ISO file, so now in the virtual disk I have the following files and folder that you can see in the fallowing image. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Can you let me know if am following your steps properly? And also can you have a look at the image that I have uploaded , if I have the folder and files that I am supposed to and also if the combined size of the files is right?

If I have the correct number of files and folders and the total size of the update is correct , the last thing I should do is copy the files from the virtual disk to a USD drive that is formatted to FAT32 format right?

And then regarding the installation, the engine should be running that much I know, is there anything else? I read somewhere that I should eject the sim card, is that necesery ? Should i turn off the radio before instaling, or when the computer turns on automaticaly I should not thouch anything(meaning if the radio is playing automaticly i should just leave it on) and just plug in the drive? Also can I open the door when the instalation is on going?

I would really appreciate your help Bricoman because I really don't wont to end up with a broken system.

    Kind regards, Xonar from Bulgaria.

    Hello,

I always made updates on the RT4 with a CD, I never had a problem on the new firmware or the new mapping installed.
The USB kit needs to improve playback that can happen with a used CD player.
Put the RT4 in GPS mode, you can leave the door open during work.
Keep the engine running, remove any other media in another drive, insert the USB stick and follow the instructions on the vehicle screen.
If you are afraid of doing something stupid, you can buy the official 8.31 firmware CD from your PSA dealer.
Some videos on the net show the update of RT4.

    Hello again,
I just tried to update the software using USB. I tried to just copy the files from the mounted ISO to the USB but I get "the CD is incomplete or damaged". I also tried using isotousb software to get the files burned to the USB insted of just coping them, but I got the same result.
Do you have any ideas why am I getting this error?

What is the correct procedure to put the update on a USB?

    Regards,Xonar
